John Stanton school diary, 1798.

Attributed to Stanton by the donor, this thin diary is a record of 11 weeks of study by a young man named John. On a daily basis he recorded how many copies he wrote, what he studied, his reading, and how many lessons he "parsed". There is also a weekly summary on the last two pages. The student reportedly lived in Killingworth, Connecticut.
